CCRUM Recruitment 2023 Notification for 74 Posts – CCRUM stands for the “Central Council for Research in Unani Medicine.” It is an autonomous organization in India under the Ministry of AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homoeopathy). CCRUM is responsible for conducting research and promoting the traditional system of medicine known as Unani medicine.
Unani medicine, also known as Yunani medicine or Greco-Arabic medicine, is a traditional system of medicine that has its roots in ancient Greece and was later developed and refined in the Arab world. It is based on the concept of balancing the four humors (blood, phlegm, yellow bile, and black bile) to maintain health.
CCRUM’s primary objectives include:
- Conducting scientific research in the field of Unani medicine.
- Promoting and developing the Unani system of medicine in India.
- Standardizing Unani drugs and formulations.
- Providing training and education in Unani medicine.
- Collaborating with other research organizations and institutions to advance Unani medicine.
The organization plays a significant role in preserving and promoting the traditional knowledge and practices of Unani medicine in India and contributes to the development of this system of medicine through research and education.
