CSL reserves the right to increase / decrease the number of vacancies or not to fill up any of the
vacancies or cancel the recruitment process, as per its requirement. 12 posts out of the above 300 posts are earmarked for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD). The details of suitable categories of benchmark disabilities identified are given below.
Cochin Shipyard Job Vacancy 2023 Salary Details
- 1st year ₹ 23300/- Per Month
- 2nd year ₹ 24000/- Per Month
- 3rd year ₹ 24800/- Per Month
The posting shall be at CSL/any other CSL units/project sites as desired by CSL. However, depending upon project requirements, the candidates are liable to be transferred within different units of CSL. The appointment to the posts carries with it the obligation to serve in any department of CSL or on-board ships or in any of the units / work sites/ projects undertaken in any part of India or abroad as the case may be.
Cochin Shipyard Job Vacancy 2023 Age Limits
The upper age limit prescribed for all the posts shall not exceed 30 years as on 28 July 2023, i.e. applicants should be born on or after 29 July 1993.
The upper age limit is relaxable by 3 years for OBC (Non Creamy Layer) candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates in posts reserved for them.
The upper age limit shall be relaxable for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) & Exservicemen as per Government of India guidelines subject to a maximum age of 45 years.
Cochin Shipyard Job Vacancy 2023 Selection Process
The method of selection shall include Phase I – Objective type online test and Phase II Practical Test, as detailed under:-
- Phase I : Objective type online Test – 30 marks
- Phase II : Practical Test – 70 marks
Total Mark – 100
Depending upon the number of online applications, the objective type test shall be held at various test centres in Kerala or at Kochi as decided by CSL. The applicants have the option to choose test centres in Kerala for the online test while completing their online application. The allocation of examination centre shall be at the sole discretion of CSL.
The Objective type Online test shall be of 35 minutes duration comprising of 30 Multiple Choice Questions and consists of two parts – General (Part A – 10 marks) and Trade related (Part B – 20 marks). Each question carries one mark. There shall be no negative marks.
Cochin Shipyard Job Vacancy 2023 Application Fees
Application fee of ₹ 600/- (Non refundable, plus bank charges extra) should be remitted using the Online payment options (Debit card/Credit card/Internet Banking/Wallets/ UPI etc) which can be accessed through our Online application facility from 14 July 2023 to 28 July 2023. No other mode of payment shall be accepted.
Applicants belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC)/ Scheduled Tribe (ST)/ Person with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) need not pay application fee. They are exempted from payment of application fee.

All applicants for whom the fee is applicable i.e. except those belonging to SC/ST /PwBD should pay the application fee as stipulated above. It is important to note that their candidature shall be considered only on receipt of application fee.
