Salary Details for Punjab Police Constable Recruitment

Punjab Police Constable Recruitment: As per the Punjab Government Notification No. FD-FP-10MISC/87/2020-2FP1 dated 29.12.2020 pay scale of the post Constable is Rs.19,900/- and minimum pay admissible of Rs. 19,900/- per month for three years from the date of joining in service.

Educational Qualification for Punjab Police Constable Recruitment

• 10+2 or its equivalent from a recognized Education Board/University.

Apart from the above-mentioned qualifications, all candidates must have passed Matriculation examination with Punjabi as one of the compulsory or elective subjects or any other equivalent examination in Punjabi language specified by the Punjab Government, on or before January 1st, 2024.

Selection Process for Punjab Police Constable Recruitment

The selection procedure as notified for Punjab Police Recruitment 2024 will be carried out in three stages: 

Stage 1: Computer-Based Test- The CBT exam consists of 02 papers. Paper 1 consists of a total of 100 multiple choice questions for a total of 100 marks and paper 2 qualifying test of the Punjabi language. 

Stage 2: Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and Physical Screening Test (PST)– Candidates who qualify the Stage 1 will be called to appear for the Physical Test. The PMT and PST tests both are qualifying in nature. 

Stage 3: Document Verification: Candidates who clear all stages of the recruitment test will be called to apper for the document scrutiny test where candidates are required to produce their original document.

Punjab Police Phase I (CBT-1 & CBT-2)

1. The Computer Based Test will be of English/Punjabi language for both CBT-1 & CBT-2.
2. There will be 100 Multiple Choice Questions in the exam with 1 mark each for the correct answer.

4. There will be no negative marking for any incorrect or unanswered question.

Punjab Police Physical Screening Test 

The candidates shortlisted from the written test will be called for the Physical Screening Test and various parameters have been decided by Punjab Police to recruit Constables. 

For Males

The males’ candidates who applied for Constable posts will be examined for the Physical Screening Test for the following parameters. Any candidate will not be provided with extra chance or leniency in the score in any case.
